Rescue Chocolate: Human Treats Help Homeless Animals
Rescue Chocolate founder Sarah Gross says the company was inspired by her rescued pit bull Mocha. “I was walking her in the park one morning, after having had a breakfast of chocolate”, says Gross, “and I had the idea, why don’t I put my love of chocolate with my love of dogs and animal rescue together, so Rescue Chocolate was born”.

The sweets are handmade, vegan, kosher, and that kitten on the package of Mission Feral Fig is Athena, rescued by PAWS in September 2009.
